It's been nearly a month since my sister has graduated and today it hit me like a ton of bricks that in 3 short months we will be separated by thousands of miles. She is heading to LA to go back to school and it will be the first time we've been separated since I was 7. Technically, I was in Clemson one year while she was in Lakeland, but that really doesn't count. I started reminiscing on our time at Clemson together and realized what a beautiful daughter of the King she has become. If you had told me in 2008 that Melissa would be going to Los Angeles BY HERSELF to continue her education, I probably would've laughed under my breath. You see, Melissa has always been quiet. BUT.... In the last year, I have seen this quiet, shy girl grow into a confident, beautiful, wise, and strong woman. She has the biggest heart and would literally hire a hit man if someone hurt someone she cared about (she actually might do it herself since she is always packing these days). I am so excited for her and the adventure she is about to embark on. So Lissa if I haven't told you I am so proud of you and love you to the moon and back. Thank you for being the best listener and encourager.
I love you,
Bestest Neighbor (In Lakeland and AMI)
